 * Co-designed and built a complex Cost Estimation application for a local highway
   construction company, including UI and report design, resulting in an easy-to-use and
   and intuitive application for DOTs, Engineers, and Contractors.
 * Developed a small RTF markup program that color-coded specified Parts of Speech for
   a client performing research on concept retention in education.

 * Developed and maintained complex SCSI (U160, U320) & Fibre Channel test software for a
   wide range of clients in the SCSI/FC manufacturing & mass storage industries, including
   Seagate, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, StorageTek, Maxtor, and many others.
 * Designed, implemented, and operated a QC and Development Test Lab, including equipment
   needs, inventory, assembly, and the design & setup of automated Systems & Unit Testing,
   saving time and effort during qualification of above SCSI/FC test software releases.

 * Developed a comprehensive school administration software package and related tools,
   utilized by elementary and secondary schools throughout the United States.  Created
   requirement, functional, and design specifications; and secured customer approval of
   specifications as required.  Also performed and/or managed implementation (coding);
   systems testing and quality assurance, creation of test plans, production of release
   versions, user documentation, and maintenance (bug fixing).  Authored roughly half
   (500,000 lines) of the package, and maintained entire package.
 * Successfully planned and supervised several major modifications of the above school
   administration package under tight timelines, resulting in greatly enhanced functionality
   and applicability.  Coordinated development with Product Management, Software Quality
   Assurance, and Documentation departments.  Estimated levels of effort on both small
   and large projects, and devised schedules.
 * Worked closely with Departments of Education in various states to devise solutions and
   options to difficult issues.
 * Presented seminars in use of the school administration product in national user group
   conventions.
 * Developed company-wide interface guidelines, software version control methods using
   PVCS, and production procedures.
